Once we the electric service and well head had been established, it was time to prep the top of the property. This project was to get these utilities across the road and ready for the “Big Dig”. A lot of detail work here for a small area. We need to get a future water line connection, and two grey PVC pipes from the service location to a location across the road. This project occurred on Nov 24th, 2019. (Supplemental site work projects will be added to this page)
The first J box to the cabin disconnect. Cables are spliced here instead of running directly to the disconnect due to the cable size. The main disconnect cannot accept 350kcmil Al cables but it can accept 250kcmil Cu. Besides if you can prevent using your equipment as pull locations do it. We ran conduit approx 30’ from electric pedestal to this J Box then 40’ from the J Box to cross the road. The completion of this project would allow us to continue on to the cabin following the driveway and not having to do the fine detail work this project accomplished.

The 2 1/2” line for power and the 1 1/2” line for water leaving the service location. Getting ready for the connection to the rest. An additional 1” line was ran from the electrical pedestal to cross the road also.
The J Box was lined with gravel for drainage. Wire for the well pump installed. Ready for connection.
This stump has been a huge distraction. This task required a mini ex to excavate around it, and heavy-duty truck with 16000 lb winch to remove. Both were also used to “roll” the stump down the road. Two workers were present. Feb 20 2025.

There is a catch basin in front of the boulder. Black pipe goes under the road. Cant believe how much this area has been improved with this addition and getting the stump out of there.
