Pictures of the kitchen transformation. Cooking is a big part of the project. Illustrating the progress from camping to actually having a house kitchen.
December 23, 2018. A Coleman liquid fuel stove.
December 25, 2018. Using a gas cylinder, hiking stove. Boiling water.
June 1, 2020. A butane stove. Super hot and fast. A good pan fry stove.
March 10, 2021. So nice, and so much easier to just plug stuff in. For jobsite food prep, the crock pot and drip coffee maker has been the way to go. After awhile it just becomes too much work to cook over a campfire. The novelty wears off…. Seriously considering adding a microwave to that corner for even easier dinner meals.
Yikes!
March 20, 2021. A microwave was added.
Folding table was brought in, this setup / location lasted from fall of 2021.
Base Cabinets brought in. Aug 12 2023. Mitch was here. These were built by local shop.
Sink Area. This fridge is 28 in wide. This kitchen space will accomodate a 32 in wide fridge.
Cooking area. So far, Everything fits.
Countertops installed. This project occurred on May 14 2024 by local shop. Absolute Black - Leathered.
Coffee Bar at back wall. Bathroom and Laundry Room “Saloon” doors. Not sure if this was a great idea or still just a good idea. They have been tinted to match the ship lap wall.
Cooking area. Cooktop was finally placed on Nov 29 2024. 30 inch Bosch LP converted.
Yes !! Finally a sink. Technically a laundry sink? Plumbing has been ready, Hot water has been ready. For months…… Finally no more hose from the laundry room for water and dumping liquids into a bucket. This sink is a Kraus. 20 inch wide basin, 22 inch overall. Drop in was preferred over undermount style. There is 23 inches of counter space to the right. Lot of these fixtures have been thru Build.com by Ferguson. The outlets installed were the block style in attempt to give it a cleaner look.
Decided on a low-profile faucet by Kohler. Did not want an arch style faucet with bar top layout. Sink and faucet were installed July 5 2024..
