Who hasn’t dreamed of building a cabin?

Possums Paradise (GA) is a collaborative effort among colleagues. Years ago, we camped at a place in the mountains where someone had spray painted a boulder “possums paradise”. That was close to 25 yrs ago. We are re creating an upscale version of that. (Hopefully) Its a stick built house, not actual log cabin construction. The site is located in North GA, just off the Savannah River. It’s a small tract but bordered on Army Corp land (comparable to WMA) It’s based on a 12x12 approach to house design, compact, but not, and then a completely decorative side porch thrown on. The goal is to build a 30 yr maintenance free, engineered, 1016 ft2 house. All amenities. Open pier construction. All underground utilities. We have an interiors person (a woman) to keep this from becoming a yard barn lined with peg board but a truly upscale home. The interiors person (a woman) has been granted site access (accompanied) during the construction and commissioning phases only. The cabin design utilizes electricity, propane, wood. One gen circuit available. The home itself has two points of entry. Full A/C. WiFi. Full kitchen and bath. Laundry. Covered porches. Cathedral ceilings. Outdoor grilling and fire pit. Canoe and kayak access via cart path. Our goal is to have it completed by June of 2022 (lol). Two years from date of foundation pour.

“Its Possible!”

This website is capturing about 90% of the phases of this build.
